On April 2, 2018, I sold my Kansas City home, quit my twelve-year career as a project manager and boarded a plane to Scotland with a vague plan to travel for one year. I carried with me a belief that by the end of that year, I would magically have my life figured out. I’d know what to be when I grow up, I’d have found my forever home and my memoir (Magicians, Cross Dressers and My Uterus) would be finished. Well… that hasn’t happened yet but I have no regrets. It has been an amazing experience. I am immensely grateful that I took this chance to follow what brings me alive, what makes me laugh, smile and glow with the wonder of all this world has to offer.
Sing, sing at the top of your voice
Love without fear in your heart
Feel, feel like you still have a choice
If we all light up we can scare away the dark
